Terms.

Last updated: May 2026

These terms cover your use of Lecturly (the website at lecturly.ai and the application at app.lecturly.ai). By creating an account or uploading a file, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the service.

1. The service

Lecturly turns lecture slide decks into narrated, animated video lessons and provides an AI tutor that answers questions about each generated lesson. Output quality depends on input quality; we don’t promise a specific grade or learning outcome.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for everything done under your account. One person, one account. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to use Lecturly.

3. What you can upload

You may upload material you own, material you’ve been authorized to use, or material that is otherwise free to use under fair-use / fair-dealing principles for personal study. See our Acceptable use policy for the things you can’t upload (in short: copyrighted material you have no right to, content that targets minors, or anything illegal).

4. Generated content

Lessons generated from your uploads belong to you. We retain a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host and serve the lesson back to you (and to people you share the link with) for as long as it exists in your account. Deleting the lesson revokes the license.

5. Billing

Subscriptions and one-time packs are processed by a third-party payments provider; we never see or store your full card number. Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly, 4-monthly, or annual) until you cancel. You can cancel from Account → Manage subscription at any time; cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period unless required by law. One-time packs are non-refundable once redeemed.

6. Refunds

If something is broken on our end and you can’t use the plan you paid for, write to contact@lecturly.ai and we will refund the affected period. We do not offer refunds for unused lessons under a working subscription.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Lecturly to generate content that is illegal, fraudulent, or designed to deceive (for example, generating a “lesson” out of someone else’s manuscript and republishing it as your own). See the full Acceptable use policy.

8. AI-generated output

Lessons are produced by language and speech models. Their output can be incorrect or incomplete; you should not treat any AI-generated content as professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise).

9. Service changes & availability

We may change features, pricing, or limits with reasonable notice. The service is provided “as is.” We will work hard to keep it up but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or the acceptable use policy. We will tell you why if we do.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Lecturly is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under applicable law.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a material way, we will email registered users before the change takes effect.
